We are an NGO registered in Zambia (For information on our non-profit status please contact us) It is our endeavour and vision to extend our service across the rural areas of the country and wish to setup counselling centers, meetup community based support groups, home based care, positive networks for affected people and to motivate them to lead a happy and a contented quality life. We also wish to extend our training and mentorship programmes. With your support and help we can make it happen.
WE NEED YOUR HELP - WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER
- One of our key agenda is to introduce 4th generation Ag/Ab testing kits at VCT centers for the following reason.
- Early detection of HIV infection helps for early intervention of HAART / counselling in pregnent mothers who are infected and there by reduce the risk of transmission to the unborn child. Early detection of infection promotes the prompt referral for initiation of treatment, counselling, prevention and interventions to reduce the risk of transmission. The risk of viral transmission is very high during the primary phase of infection.
- We wish to introduce more qualitative PCR DNA, quantitative PCR RNA , CD4 count and genotypic / penotypic diagnostic equipments and HIV testing labs on wheels.
- We need adequate transport facilities to reach out more into rural areas.
- we need slide projectors, PA systems and office equipments.
- We want to work more closely at community level and have more radio programmes in local languages.
- We wish to write a comprehensive book on HIV / AIDS that covers all topics in detail such as the one we cover in our HIV / AIDS workshops, we welcome partners and fundings for this endeavour, We also wish to produce audio DVD's and video DVD's on HIV/AIDS.
